Our 2nd summer school on Smart Materials for Opto-Electronic Applications has been conducted the 12th and 13th of September in a hybrid format: partly in Cetraro, partly online. We had the chance to provide 26 talks on 6 different topics:
- Piezo-electric Materials
- Photo-active Materials
- Nano-fabrication by top down and bottom up approaches: Electron Beam Lithography and Colloidal Lithography
- Advanced printing technologies & additive manufacturing
- Characterization techniques and their implementation in Smart Materials and devices
- Application of Smart Materials
We would like to thank a lot Prof. Luigi Nicolais (President of Materias) who opened our School with an exciting plenary, all the speakers and a specific mention for the external speakers who have definitely raised the level of that school. Veronica Ambrogi, Gaetano Assanto, Massimo De Vittorio, Leszek Fras, Wolfgang Fritzche, Marina Grenzer, Malgosia Kaczmarek, Jan Lagerwall, Katarzyna Matczyszyn, Alberto Naldoni, Giusy Scalia, Timothy White and Hao Zeng. Among the 68 attendees, 2 students, Elena De Vita and Sidrish Zahra, both from UniversitĂ di Napoli “Parthenope” have been awarded with the best pitch of their work. We wish them good success for their research!
