Dr. Pasquale Memmolo received the Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering and the Master’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering at the “Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II” (Napoli, Italy), in 2005 and 2008, respectively. He received the Ph.D. in Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering in 2012.
From 2011 to 2015, Dr. P. Memmolo worked as Post Doc at the Center for Advanced Biomaterials for Health Care@CRIB, Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, Napoli, Italy. His research activity was focused on the design, development and implementation of novel computational methods to study the 3D morphology and 3D motility of micro-organism in microfluidic channels by using holographic imaging.
In 2016, he got the Permanent Researcher Position at the National Research Council of Italy (CNR).
His research interests cover the fields of computational microscopy, digital holography, optical engineering, flow cytometry, 3D tracking and pattern recognition, micro- and opto-fluidics, digital image processing, computer vision, convex optimization, 3D display technologies.
Dr. P. Memmolo has published over 50 peer review journals publications and over 80 proceedings and conference papers, with more than 1500 total citations (h-index: 25). Moreover, he is active as reviewer for major journals in optics and photonics and he is member of the editorial board of the journal “Mathematical Problems in Engineering” (Hindawi).
