Asimov Award
The Asimov Prize is a dissemination initiative launched by INFN in 2015. It is an award reserved for particularly worthy popularization and scientific non-fiction books. Protagonists are both the authors of the competing works and thousands of Italian students, who decree the winner with their votes and their reviews, in turn, evaluated and awarded. The Prize aims to put the younger generations in contact with the scientific culture, through the evaluation and critical reading of the competing works. The Prize is named after the writer Isaac Asimov, author of an impressive number of popular science works as well as several novels and short stories. The reading, analysis, and review of the competing works by students can be used for training credits and as a path for transversal skills and orientation (PCTO, former school-work alternation).
ISASI has been among the supporters of the Asimov Prize since 2019.
