Futuro Remoto is the Neapolitan science festival. It was born in 1987 as the dissemination event in Europe for scientific and technological culture. Until 2014, the event had its precise format: a general theme, one primary exhibition, and parallel exhibitions, as well as events, conferences, workshops. Until 1995 it was hosted in the exhibition area of Naples, the Mostra d’Oltremare, and since 1996 in the Science Center of Città Della Scienza, in Bagnoli. In 2015 the event gets to the beating heart of Naples: Piazza del Plebiscito. It is a new beginning for the event, a turning point due to many new activities and collaborations launched by the scientific center of Città Della Scienza. Futuro Remoto is no longer just the “Città Della Scienza ” event but the Science Festival, the celebration of the entire scientific community, and at the same time, a living platform of social innovation.
ISASI has been constantly participating in it since 2016.
