On the occasion of the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology (IYQ), the Quantum Treks 2025 will kick off on Thursday, April 3 at the Museum of Physics of the Natural and Physical Science Museum Center in Naples. After the success of the last edition, the initiative returns with an even richer and more engaging program. The Quantum Treks are real excursions into the world of quantum mechanics, designed to bring students, researchers, companies and science enthusiasts closer to modern quantum technologies. The experience is divided into itineraries with different levels of difficulty, based on interactive laboratories, board games, events, exhibitions and popular and technical-scientific displays. We live in an era of the second quantum revolution, an extraordinary moment in which technologies such as quantum computing and cryptography are transforming the way we conceive of science and innovation. During the activities, participants will explore the principles of quantum mechanics and their surprising applications in the real world.

The Quantum Treks 2025 activities are divided into three levels of difficulty, making them accessible to a wide audience: middle school students (1st level), high school students (2nd level) and university students (3rd level). In addition, special initiatives are planned to celebrate World Quantum Day (WQD), a unique opportunity to delve deeper into the role of quantum physics in the contemporary world. The Quantum Treks 2025 activities are hosted by the Physics Museum of the Center for Natural Science Museums (CMSN) and Physics, coordinated by the National Institute of Optics (CNR-INO), organized together with the Institute of Applied Sciences and Intelligent Systems (CNR-ISASI), the Institute for Superconductors, Innovative Materials and Devices (CNR-SPIN) and the Physics Museum, with the collaboration of the Physics Department of the University of Naples Federico II, the PONYS association, the National Quantum Science and Technology Institute (NQSTI), Photon Technology Co. Ltd. (Photec) and the National Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN) Naples Section.
