On the occasion of the 4th “International Day of Women and Girls in Science” promoted by UNESCO, the CREO network participated in the celebratory event with a series of meetings, accessible both remotely and in person, addressed to female students of the lower and upper secondary schools. The researchers of the CNR institutes belonging to the CREO network talked about their training and professional experiences, the successes achieved, as well as, the problems encountered in the workplace, and the difficulties in reconciling work and family. The purpose of those meetings is to raise awareness among young participants on issues related to scientific careers for women, placing the accent on the measures that have been taken in recent years in Europe to reduce the gender gap and promote scientific careers among young women.

Antigone Marino and Simona de Luca participated on behalf of ISASI, giving a speech at the “Eleonora Pimentel Fonseca” state high school in Naples.
