The Institute of Applied Sciences and Intelligent Systems participated with two initiatives in the project SHAPER – Sharing Researchers Passion for Evidences and Resilience, among the activities of the European Commission “Marie Skłodowska Curie Actions”. Both activities focused on images in science. Is it possible to confuse a sensor for a pyramid or a liquid crystal with an impressionist painting? The images that science gives us have a charm and a beauty that are not beneath a work of art. Researchers from ISASI described their research activities in an exhibition through the images they produced. In this digital era, both specialist and general scientific communication sent libraries and long descriptions into the attic, preferring to use the web and images. The only old medium that survives is the direct experimental experience. For this reason, we have put the visitors at the microscope. We had them observe invertebrate organisms used as an experimental model for studies of nanobiotechnology and regenerative medicine.
