Showcases for research is a cycle of pre-events approaching the 2022 edition of the European Researchers’ Night (ERN) held as part of the broader two-year project STREETS (Science, Technology and Research for Ethical Engagement Translated in Society). The project is funded by the European Community – “Marie Sklodowska Curie Actions, coordinated by the University of Naples Federico II, carried out with the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli”, the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio, the University of Napoli L’Orientale, the University of Salerno, the 25 CNR Institutes of Campania participating in the Campania REte Outreach (CREO – CNR), ‘Le Nuvole’ (Neapolitan cultural and creative enterprise), with the support of the University of Sannio as an associated partner .
ISASI took part in the event with “What do we have in our head? Research between game and science”, presenting part of the research activity on optical illusions and their role in the study of the human brain. The event was held in the week of 19 to 24 September 2022 at the Fonoteca del Vomero and in the week of 26-29 September at the Bibi Libreria dei Ragazzi in the historic center of Naples.

This method of bringing the general public closer to scientific research is an alternative scientific dissemination approach, designed to enjoy science and knowledge while strolling among shops and commercial activities, enlivening everyday places with out-of-the-ordinary proposals.

Referents for this activity were Antigone Marino and Simona de Luca.
